Peacock feathers

I'm a big lover of fashion I always have been since a little girl when I would sketch my designs. I'm no clothes snob I will shop anywhere as long as I love it I don't care where it comes from. In fact I love it when people ask me where my outfit has come from and I can proudly tell them how little it cost. My new find for high street shopping is Peacocks which has never really been known for fashion forward clothing but they are now designing some great pieces and they even have Pearl Lowe putting collections together for them.  They are a great alternative to Primark and their online shop even has a build a look programme.

Parisian Pink

With all this gloomy weather I always start the year looking forward to sunny summer days which led me to put together this pretty french inspired look for a summer wedding and what better way to enjoy the summer than to have your reception in a garden under trees dripping with chandeliers and lanterns.

Both these Benjamin Robert dresses are full of pretty elegant details
2160 Chiffon A line gown that floats to the floor in tiny pleats from the waist. Petals, silk cording & crystals add a focal point to the embellishment
2167 An A line tulle gown with a full skirt that has swathes of embellished embroidery

Pretty maids are a must for this romantic pretty wedding and what maid wouldn't look stunning in these two dresses by Dessy?

Hollywood Style

I love old movies especially the fashion the 50's has always been my favourite Grace Kelly, Marylin Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Doris Day to name a few of my idols from this era.
Ian Stuart is one of the leading bridal wear designers and his Paramount collection is inspired by old Hollywood. It really is a dream of a collection and fulfills all my Hollywood starlet fantasies.

Ian Stuart - Paramount

Ian Stuart - Jet Set

Ian Stuart - Fox Trot

Ian Stuart - Muse

I could see Grace Kelly in Paramount, Audrey Hepburn in Fox Trot, Doris Day in Jet Set and Marylin in Muse

Which one would you choose?

Classic Art

It's a new year so this is when I start looking to spring clean our home and do a bit of redecorating and what we could do with is some artwork to compliment our newly painted walls (this I am about to start doing)
When I came across this company I couldn't believe how brilliant the idea was spineless classics have whole classic books printed onto one page with a a quirky silhouette.

They have loads of books to choose from and if you have a favourite book they can even look into making it into a print for you.
I love the pride and prejudice one which I think would look amazing in a black ornate frame above my sideboard

HELLO 2011 - My promises

Happy New Year xxx

I always find New years day a bit of strange one as I still find it hard to get my head around that it's a New year. Then I suddenly think I should be coming up with all these resolutions to improve myself like go to the gym, go on a diet that I know I will never stick to. So this year I have decided that I am going to make promises instead and here are my promises:

1. Be nicer to my husband
2. Take the dogs out for more walks
3. Don't get stressed out about work (a hard one)
4. Enjoy life more
5. See my friends and family more
6. Do more creative hobbies
7. Learn to believe in myself (another hard one)

Hopefully these are more realistic things that I can actually achieve!

2010 was an interesting year for me it was one of the most stressful and the happiest years of my life. My wedding day was the best day and I wouldn't have changed a single thing. It wasn't just about Guy and I it was about our families and friends that were so wonderful and showed how very lucky we are. The planning of our big day was a lot of fun and a lot of stress but it was all worth it.

On the work front I had a lot of challenges with new responsibilities added to my already large list I love a challenge and I love to be busy but I even managed to surprise myself with how much I can cope with!

As you will know if you have been following me we had a flood in our home and the full realization of this didn't really hit us until we came home from our honeymoon as before this we were just consumed with the wedding to sort out the insurance company. That was a huge come down from our wedding high and it went on for months and put a big strain on our relationship but we got through it and progress seems to be happening and we should be back in our home in February.

So I just want to say I hope this New Year brings you happiness and everything you wish for oh and let me know if you have made any promises to yourself

lots of love Stacey xxxx
